I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season! When we return to the classroom, we will be continuing with Unit 4 and learning about slope. The students will return to school on Wednesday, 1/4/12.

12/14/11

Missing assignment lists were distibuted on Monday. ALL of this missing work is due by Friday (12/16/11) at 3:30 PM. We will spend Thursday and Friday making up work and going over the most-missed problems from the benchmark.

Benchmark tomorrow! Study, study, study!!!

12/12/11 Homework

All classes should complete the Benchmark 2 packet! Math benchmark is Wednesday!

12/8/11 No Homework

Tomorrow I will be handing out a review packet for the math benchmark. We will be using this packet through Tuesday (12/13) with some supplemental practice problems. The test is next Wednesday.

12/7/11 TEST Tomorrow!!!

The unit 4 test on Relations and Functions had to be moved to tomorrow (12/8/11) due to Reading benchmark on Friday. A test review packet was passed out in class today - it is very similar to the test (the vocabulary definitions are exactly like the test, but in a different order). We were not able to go over every problem in class, but the students were given the correct answers.

Friday we will start our review for the Math benchmark which is next Wednesday (12/14/11).

Monday 12/5/11 Homework

There are two items for homework:

1. One page handout that students were allowed to work on in class (if they didn't finish in the 15 minutes provided, they need to finish it at home)

2. GALT workbook page 132 problems #18-23 (students should put the linear equation in function form and then graph)

Monday - Solve and graph linear equations with 2 variables
Tuesday and Wednesday - Using x- and y-intercepts
Thursday - Test Review
Friday - Test 4A (covers functions, linear equations, and intercepts)
